Small Arms

I went to the United Nations today and got a poster. I love getting new posters when I go to the UN. What I got today is about small arms.

"More than  million small arms and light weapons are in circulation around the world. Since 1990, these weapons caused over four million deaths - about 80% of them were women and children."

This is written on the poster. Such small arms kill many many many of people.

When you see the world, there are children, who are 6-8 years old, holding a weapon and fighting. Do you think they know why they are fighting and killing? Do you think they know whom they are fighting against? Do you think they are fighting because they want to? What makes such a horrible situation? I know some reasons of the conflicts where they are fighting, but HOW COULD PEOPLE LET CHILDREN GO TO FIGHT? Children. 'Children' means that they are so young!! They are not adult. They cannot understand what's happening in their places. They are fighting without clear explanations!!

Anyway, I believe that reducing or limiting the number of such weapons will eventually reduce the number of such children and women killed.
